Welcome to Graduate Studies!
On behalf of the Faculty and Staff of the Graduate and Undergraduate Department in the Faculty of Education at Brock University, I would like to welcome you to our academic community. Graduate Studies provides an opportunity to challenge assumptions, expand thinking, and develop new ways of seeing education and the world.
As a graduate student, you will learn theories that inform educational practice and you will engage in research and debate. As well, you will interact with individuals who will question your views on issues of importance and cause you to think in new and different ways.
The professors in our Faculty of Education will guide your learning. They offer expertise on a diverse range of educational topics and you will find them to be approachable and knowledgeable. You will meet them throughout your program and while you work as teaching or research assistants.
The Master of Education Program Guide represents the combined efforts of graduate students and faculty members to create a useful resource for students in the Master of Education. The Guide is designed to provide information in a convenient and accessible format.
Regardless of degree route, the successful completion of the Masters of Education program will require you to demonstrate a Master's level of scholarship, whether following the culminating exit course or research requirement (MRP/project/thesis).
Again, welcome to Brock University. We look forward to meeting and working with you on your learning journey.
